SOLUTION: Multiply the expressions, and simplify.
(-3x^2y^2) * (8x^-2y^3)
When I worked the problem, I got -24x^4y ^-1 ......Am I correct or am I wrong?
Thanks in advance... I am tr

Thanks in advance... I am trying so hard to learn this....
The -24 coefficient is correct, but a minus sign on a coefficent has NO effect on the sign of an exponent.
and remember, anything to the zero power is 1 (NOT 1x, just 1. If you are confused by this idea, write back and I'll give you a "makes good sense" explanation). Then
