You can put this solution on YOUR website! If a mother is three times older than her daughter and in twelve years she is twice oldes than the daughter, whats the mother age now?
Solution:
Let x = Mother´s age now
Let y = Daughter´s age now
x = 3y (1)
(x+12)= 2(y+12)(2)
Then:
3y+12 = 2y+24
3y-2y = 24-12
y = 12
x = 3y =3(12)=36
Answer: 36 years
