Question 624662: Find the x- and y- intercepts and graph the equation plotting the intercepts. Please show all your work including graph. 7x-4y=14
Can someone please help me with this problem...I just don't understand this stuff. I have a test next week and I need help bad...I would really appreciate all the help I can get on this. Solution:
To find x-intercept we must solve for x when y =0
7x-4(0)=14
7x -0=14
7x = 14
x = 14/7
x = 2
Then x-intercept is (2,0)
To find y-intercept we must solve for y when x =0
7(0)-4y = 14
0-4y = 14
-4y=14
y = -14/4
y= -3.5
y-intercept is (0,-3.5)
Answer:
x-intercept = (2,0)
y-intercept = (0,-3,5)
