You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
Draw the graph with the following coordinates:
(0,3)
(8 -3)
From the graph:
the y-intercept is 3
the x-intercept is 4
Slope = rise/run = -3/4
The Slope is -3/4
The other way of finding the slope:
(y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) = 3 - (-3) / 0 -8
Combine like terms:
3 - (-3) = 3 + 3 = 6
0 - 8 = -8
Therefore:
6/-8 = -3/4
The Slope is -3/4
The graph: y -3x/4 + 3
