(4a + 3b)(4a + b)
Multiply using the FOIL Method:
4a * 4a = 16a^2
4a * b = 4ab
3b * 4a = 12ab
3b * b = 3b^2

16a^2 + 4ab + 12ab + 3b^2
Combine like terms:
4ab + 12ab = 16ab

The Answer:
16a^2 + 16ab + 3b^2
