You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given:
P = (-5,-2) and
Q = (-3,1)
The Slope = rise/run = 3/2 = 1 1/2

Another way of finding the slope is:

(y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) = (1 - (-2)) / (-3 - (-5))

Therefore:
1 + 2 = 3
-3 + 5 = 2

The Slope = 3/2 = 1 1/2

The Slope Intercept Form:

y = mx + b

From the graph the y-intercept is: 5 1/2 (five and a half).

Therefore:

y = 1 1/2x + 5 1/2 or

y = (one and a half)x + (five and a half)
