Question 623385: plot the points and determine the slope of the line containing them.
(-3,-6);(7,-6)

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The graph of:
(-3,-6)
(7,-6)
Plotting the above graph we find a horizontal line at:
y = -6
The y-intercept is -6
The equation of a horizontal line is
y = b
where b is the y-intercept.
Since the slope of a horizontal line is 0 (zero), the general formula for the standard form equation,
y = mx + b
becomes
y = 0x + b
Therefore:
y = b
Since the line is horizontal, every point on that line has the exact same y value. This y-value is therefore also the
y-intercept.
