C+=+2.95%2B0.95%286%2Am%29 Where m = number of miles travelled. Set C = $14.35
14.35+=+2.95%2B0.95%286%2Am%29 Subtract 2.95 from both sides.
11.4+=+0.95%286%2Am%29 Perform the indicated multiplication..
11.4+=+5.7m Finally, divide both sides by 5.7
m+=+2miles.
