2. +2x+-+2y+=+12+
Plug equation one into equation 2
+2%28y+%2B+5%29+-+2y+=+12+
Distribute
+2y+%2B+10+-+2y+=+12+
Combine like terms
+10+=+12+
Because this does not yeild a value for y, but rather a false statement, there is no solution. These two lines are Parallel.
