Question 622143: Hi!
I am working on Solving Systems of Linear Equations by Graphing.
What I don't understand is how to graph these linear equations:
-x + 3y = 10
x + y = 2
Basically, I need help solving for x & y first, and then graphing.
I've tried youtube videos and other resources, and cannot get it.
Thank you!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve for y in each equation

-x+%2B+3y+=+10

3y+=+x+%2B+10

y+=+%281%2F3%29x+%2B+10%2F3

-----------------------------

x+%2B+y+=+2+

y+=+-x+%2B+2+

======================================
Then graph each equation

Notice that the two lines intersect at the point (-1,3)

So the solution is (-1,3) which tells us that x = -1 and y = 3
