the perimeter of a rectangle lawn is 24meter

 2L + 2W = 24m   or L + W = 12   and L = 12-W

if the area of the lawn is 35 m^2,

 w(12-w) = 35

   12w - w^2 = 35

     w^2 - 12w + 35 = 0

factoring

  (w-7)(w-5) = 0,  w = 7m  or w = 5m,  The Dimesnions of the lawn are 7m by 5m
