Go through and find the set of first differences, that is:
The second term minus the first term, then the third term minus the second term and so on until you are out of terms. If all of the differences are equal stop computing differences. If they aren't all equal, then calculate the set of second differences by performing the same process but this time do it to the first differences. Keep repeating the process until you get a row of differences that are all equal.
Add the equal difference to the last difference in the previous row. Add that result to the last difference in the row previous to that. Keep doing that until you have computed the next term as desired.
