You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Hi
Assume it was: 3x-8y = -1
given: 3x-8y = -1 and -5x + 8y = 7, solve for x and y
3x - 8y = -1
-5x + 8y = 7
-2x = 6
x = -3 and y = -1 (-9 - 8y = -1, -8y = 8, y = -1)
Ordered pair ( -3, -1) the solution for this System
CHECKING our Answer***
-5x + 8y = 7
15 - 8 = 7
