Question: C varies directly as the square of M. C=18 when M=3
For my answer I put C=KM^2, 18=K3^2
But only got half the points and cant figure out why.

 C = kM^2   Yes!

 18 = 9k

  2 = k  || k = 2 is the constant of the direct proportion
