You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If 4260 lbs of ore can produce 28 lbs of a pure metal,how much ore is required to produce 35 lbs of pure metal?
:
We can use a ratio equation
Let x = amt of ore to produce 35 lb
:
x%2F4260 = 35%2F28
cross multiply
28x = 4260 * 35
28x = 149100
x = 149100%2F28
x = 5325 lb of ore required to produce 35 lb of metal
