Hi,
sqrt%282t%2B4%29+=+sqrt%28t-1%29 ||Squaring both sides
2t+4 = t-1
t = -5

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sqrt(2t+4) = sqrt(t-1)
square each side of the equation to get:
2t+4 = t-1
subtract t from both sides of the equation to get:
t+4 = -1
subtract 4 from both sides of the equation to get:
t = -5
that should be your answer.
sqrt(2t+4) = sqrt(t-1) becomes:
sqrt(2*(-5)+4) = sqrt((-5)-1) which becomes:
sqrt(-10+4) = sqrt(-5-1) which becomes:
sqrt(-6) = sqrt(-6)
that's your answer.
t = -5
the fact that the answer is not real, but imaginary is not a factor.
both answers are equal and imaginary.
sqrt(-6) = sqrt(6)*sqrt(-1) = sqrt(6)*i where i = sqrt(-1)
