You can put this solution on YOUR website! the length of a rectangle is 4 ft longer than twice the width. If the perimeter is 74 ft. find the length and the width
--------------------
Let width be "x"
Then length is "2x+4"
----------------
Equation:
P = 2(L + W)
74 = 2(2x+4 + x)
37 = 3x+4
3x = 33
x = 11 ft (width)
2x+4 = 26 ft (length)
