When any graph is reflected in the x axis, all the y coordinates change signs. Points with positive y coordinates become points with negative y coordinates. (the x coordinates stay the same.) And the points that had negative y coordinates become points with positive y coordinates. This has the effect of moving all the points above the x axis to below the x axis and vice versa. The equation for the reflected graph will have the y's replaced by -y's. So
the equation for the reflection of
y+=+x%5E2-10
will be:
-y+=+x%5E2-10
or, solving for y:
y+=+-x%5E2%2B10
