What kinds of roots are you talking about? There are an infinite number of kinds of roots: square, cube, 4th, 5th, etc.

Maybe in your classroom it is understood what "root 2" means. But the tutors on this web page don't know. And they can't help when they can't undestand clearly what you are trying to say.

So please re-post using "square root of 2" or sqrt(2) or "cube root of 5" etc. so it is clear what you are talking about.
