You can put this solution on YOUR website! A rational number can also be defined as any number that has a terminating or repeating decimal representation. So, irrational numbers can be defined as any number that has a nonrepeating decimal representation.
Ex:
a) 0.75, 0.125, 0.28 are terminating decimals and thus rational numbers.
b) 0.3333..., 0.666...,0.141414... are repeating decimals and thus rational numbers.
c) pi=3.1415926535, =1.41421356, = -1.41421356
are nonrepeating decimals and thus irrational.
