Question 615274: I still have not received any information about this question and I really need help please. I have no money to pay to anyone and I am sorry about that but, the answer is due in just a bit to my online class practice text. Given a triangle with the measure of the first angle is 3x, the measure of the second angle is
(x + 5) and the measure of the third angle is (2x + 1), find the measures in degrees of all three angles. Found 2 solutions by rfer, ankor@dixie-net.com:Answer by rfer(16322) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Given a triangle with the measure of the first angle is 3x, the measure of the second angle is (x + 5) and the measure of the third angle is (2x + 1),
find the measures in degrees of all three angles.
:
Remember the three angles in a triangle have to add up to 180
3x + (x+5) + (2x + 1) = 180
combine like terms
3x + x + 2x + 5 + 1 = 180
6x + 6 = 180
subtract 6 from both sides
6x = 180 - 6
6x = 174
x = 174/6
x = 29
therefore
3(29) = 87 degrees, the first angle
29+5 = 34 degrees, the 2nd angle
2(29)+1 = 59 degrees the 3rd angle
------------
total 180 degrees
