Question 615239: Hello, I was wondering if you may be able to help me with this problem, I've tried applying what I know, but it doesn't seem to come out right...
(1/9)^3x=27
So what I've tried is...
1. Setting the bases equal
So, basically,
3^2(-3x)=3^3
**I did (-3x) because it's under a 1 in the original problem, I feel that this may be where I am having issues.
2.Solve for X.
2(-3x)=3
-6x=3
x=-2
However when I try to check my work, the problem just doesn't seem to come out right with X being -2. I would greatly appreciate your time and help! Many regards, -Sarah.
