Multiply thru by 3x(x+2) to get:
3(x+2) + 3x = x(x+2)
3x+6 + 3x = x^2+2x
x^2 -4x-6 = 0
x = [4 +-sqrt(16-4*-6)]/2
x = [4 +- sqrt(42)]/2
