You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
set up and slove the equation -x+y=3, x+y=5?
Add the two equations to get 2y=8
y=4
Substitute into x+y=5 to solve for x, as follows:
x+4=5
x=1
Check in -x+y=3
-1+4=3
3=3
