Question 61362: I want to make sure i am doing this correctly... Question is: Determine ALL REAL ZEROS (and multiplicities for them) for the following polynomial functions.
f(x)=x^4-6x^3+13x^2-24x+36
I went to the tutor here at school, and it seemed like the kid did not know what the correct answer would be... I have..
Real Zeros= x=3
but i don't think i am right.. Please help.. Thanks again..

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f%28x%29=x%5E4-6x%5E3%2B13x%5E2-24x%2B36
factorises as
f%28x%29=%28x-3%29%28x-3%29%28X%5E2%2B4%29
So the only real zero would be x=3 with a multiplicity of 2
