You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How many gallons of a 30% acid solution must be mixed with 80 gallons of a 19%solution to obtain a solution that is 20% acid?
**
let x=gallons of 30% acid to be mixed
80+x=gallons of 20% mixed solution
..
30%x+19%*80=20%(80+x)
.3x+15.2=16+.2x
0.1x=.8
x=8
ans:
gallons of 30% acid to be mixed=8
