One I understand the math talk, I can work this problem out no problem! Answer by Yemi(10) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! if the number of female(F) is one less than twice the number of male(M), then you have F=2M-1.
male+femele=62
M+F=62
M+2M-1=62
3M-1=62
3M=63
M=21.
F=2(21)-1
F=42-1=41.
THEREFORE, MALES ARE 21 AND FEMALES ARE 41.
