Question 611133:  f(x)=(-x-9x-20)/(x+4)
 Answer by stanbon(75887)      (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! f(x)=(-x^2-9x-20)/(x+4)
-------
Factor:
f(x) = [-(x^2+9x+20)] / (x+4)
-------
f(x) = [-(x+4)(x+5)] / (x+4)
==========
At this point you might cancel the (x+4) factors,
but you would lose the fact that f has a "hole"
at x = -4.
