You can put this solution on YOUR website!

half <-- that's 1%2F2

the square root of <-- that's sqrt%28%22%98%98%22%29. So far we have 1%2F2sqrt%28%22%98%98%22%29.

twice a number <-- thst's 2x. So far we have 1%2F2sqrt%282x%29

is <-- that's " = ". So far we have 1%2F2sqrt%282x%29 =

5. <-- that's 5, So we have the equation 1%2F2sqrt%282x%29 = 5

So we just solve the equation:

                              1%2F2sqrt%282x%29 = 5
First multiply both sides
by 2 to clear of the fraction sqrt%282x%29 = 10

Square both sides %28sqrt%282x%29%29%5E2 = 10%5E2

Simplify 2x = 100

Divide both sides by 2 x = 50.
