Hi,
Find the value of x so that the line joining the points(x,3)and (2,1)is parallel to the line joining (x,5)and (-1,2)
Note: slopes Equal m+=%28y%5B2%5D+-+y%5B1%5D%29%2F%28x%5B2%5D+-+x%5B1%5D%29
(x,3)and
(2,1) m+=+2%2F%28x-2%29
(x,5)and
(-1,2) m+=+3%2F%28x%2B1%29
2%2F%28x-2%29=+3%2F%28x%2B1%29 ||Cross Multiplying to solve
3(x-2) = 2(x+1)
x = 8
