Question 608976: Can someone please explain to me what I am doing wrong?
In my book is asking to determine the slope and y intercept of the line represented by the given equation, and to graph the line.
-4x+9y=18
I changed it into slope intercept:
y=(4/9)x + 2
m=4/9
b=2
when graphing the line I get one point (0,2) and then I did the vertical change to horizontal change and got (9,6) but in my book answers page it shows a graph line with points (0,2) and (-4.5,0)?
Thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
u r not doing any thing wrong the point ( 9,6) is a point on the straight line too. the book chose (-4.5,0) since it is a x intercept and easier to calculate.
