Plug in x = 3/4 and evaluate


2x + 6(x + 2)

2(3/4) + 6(3/4 + 2)

2(3/4) + 6(3/4 + 8/4)

2(3/4) + 6(11/4)

6/4 + 66/4

3/2 + 33/2

36/2

18

So 2x + 6(x + 2) = 18 when x = 3/4
