Step 1: Determine the number of seconds in one hour. Hint: There are 60 minutes in one hour and there are 60 seconds in each of those minutes.

Step 2: Divide the result of step 1 by 3. That will tell you the number of 3 second intervals, each representing 1 mile traveled, in one hour.
