Question 606293: My question is "eight years ago, Bernice was one-third her present age. How old is she now?"
This is what I tried but I'm not sure if I am solving this correctly:
a= age now
1/3(a) = 8 years ago
8 = 1/3(a) then divided by (1/3) to get the variable 'a' by itself, and got 24.02.
Is this correct? If not, how do I solve this? Answer by vleith(2983) (Show Source):
