You can put this solution on YOUR website! ( I am assuming that A, E and C run on a straight line)
We just need to take the sum of the two lengths (If you draw a picture of it, you will be able to see this more clearly).
AE+EC=AC=(8x-3)+(6x+7)=14x+4
