Question 602646: Help please. What is the cos,sin and tan of x=sqrt6 and y=-sqrt2.
r=sqrt of 6^2 + -sqrt of 2^2. Steps would be helpful because I have 2 more problems very similar to this one and I have missed the answers to all.
Thanks so much.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What is the cos,sin and tan of x=sqrt6 and y=-sqrt2.
--------------
r+=+sqrt%28x%5E2+%2B+y%5E2%29+=+sqrt%288%29
sin = y/r = -sqrt(2)/sqrt(8) = -1/2
cos = x/r = sqrt(6)/sqrt(8) = sqrt(3)/2
tan = y/x = -sqrt(3)/3
