You can put this solution on YOUR website! The area of a rectangular slab of sidewalk is 45square feet. its length is 3 feet more than 4times the width. find the length and width.
I have 4w+3=L but i dont really know what to do
---------------
4w+3=L
L*W = 45
Sub for L
(4W+3)*W = 45
4W^2 + 3W - 45 = 0
(W - 3)*(4W + 15) = 0
W = 3
L = 15
