Question 6005: find the slope of a line that is parallel to and slope of a line that is perpendicular to the following line: 3x+y=4

You can put this solution on YOUR website! parallel lines have the same slope but different intercepts, since they are not specifying the intercept, we can choose our own:
3x+y=8
perpendicular lines will have a slope that is the reciprocal inverse:
-1/3x+y=4
