Let width of rectangle = X feet
So its length = 2X
Using the formula (Length*Width) = Area, we get
2X*X = 450
i.e. %28+2X%5E2+%29=+%28450+%29
i.e. %28+X%5E2+%29=%28+450+%29%2F2
i.e. %28+X%5E2+%29=%28+225+%29
so X=%28+sqrt%28225%29%29
OR X = 15
So the width of rectangle = X = 15 feet
& its length = 2X = 2*15 = 30 feet
