6 men take 2 days to paint a house. how long would 2 men take to do the painting ?

The job takes 6 man * 2 days = 12 man-days to complete
Therefore, it would take 12 man-days/2 man = 6 days to complete the job

In case of inverse variation,
If X men can do a job in Y days &
if W man can do the same job in Z days,
then we have X*Y = W*Z
this formula can be used in this problem,
6 men do the job in 2 days,
Let 2 men do the same job in X days
So 6*2 = 2*X
Solving this we get X = 6
So 2 men take 6 days to do the job (painting)
