If the logs are equal, then the things
that they are logs of have to be equal, so
+x+%2B+5+=+5x+-+3+
+4x+=+8+
+x+=+2+
Is the original equation true?
+log%28x%2B5%29=log%285x-3%29+
+log%282%2B5%29=log%285%2A2-3%29+
+log%28+7+%29+=+log%28+10+-+3+%29+
+log%28+7+%29+=+log%28+7+%29+
