You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Add their rates of mowing to get their
rate working together
Rate of push mower: ( 1 area ) / ( 6 hrs )
Rate of riding mower: ( 1 area ) / ( 5 hrs )
Let +t+ = time in hrs to mow 1 area working together
Rate working together: ( 1 area ) / ( t hrs )
-------------------------
+1%2F6+%2B+1%2F5+=+1%2Ft+
Multiply both sides by +6%2A5%2At+
+5t+%2B+6t+=+5%2A6+
+11t+=+30+
+t+=+2.73+
It will take 2.73 hrs
This is about 2 hrs and 44 min ( .73*60 = 44 )
