I know the answer is
y=2/3x-28/3 I do not know how to get to the -20 that you add the -8 to. is ther an easy why to do this please help?????

is incorrect.

Your given point has 2, not -2 as an -coordinate. Hence:



Now, distribute the slope fraction:



Then add -8 to both sides:



But 8 is the same thing as , so:



Now just add the numerators on the fractions with like denominators and you have it:
