Question 595145: What does it mean when the number line goes a certain way and the circle is filled?
Answer by math-vortex(648) About Me  (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
When the circle is filled in, it means that the value on the number line at the circle IS included in the solution. For example, if the solution arrow starts at 6 and moves to the right, and the circle is filled in, then the solution is "x is greater than or equal to six."
x%3E=6
If the circle was not filled in, then the solution would be "x is greater than six."
x%3E6
Hope this helps. If you are still confused, email me and I'll draw some pictures.
