Question 594381: Can you help me with this word problem:
If the cost of a gallon of milk increases from $2.25 per gallon to $2.45 per gallon, what percent increase is this?
I set the problem up: .20 = p x 2.45 After working it out - I got 8%.
Is that correct? If not can you tell me what I did wrong and how to do it?
Thank you,
