You can put this solution on YOUR website!
n = the number
n + 92 = 3*n - 44
subtract 92 from each side of the equation
n + 92 - 92 = 3*n - 44 -92
n = 3*n - 136
Subtract 3*n from each side of the equation
n - 3*n = 3*n - 3*n - 136
-2*n = -136
Divide both sides of the equation by -2
-2*n/(-2) = -136/(-2)
n = 68
Check: 68 + 92 = 3*68 -44
160 = 204 - 44 = 160
