You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the general vertex form is ___ y = a(x - h)^2 + k , with the vertex at (h,k)

y = 1(x^2 + 3x) - 10

completing the square ___ y = 1(x^2 + 3x + 9/4) - 10 - 9/4 ___ y =1(x + 3/2)^2 - 49/4
