Question 592147: For some reason I am drawing a complete blank on how to begin this:
Can you add sqrt(5) + sqrt(20)? Hint: simplify the sqrt(20) to a multiple of sqrt(5). Also need an example of a radical expression for others to solve.
I would greatly appreciate any help. It's been 34 years since I have had Algebra.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sqrt%285%29+%2B+sqrt%2820%29
sqrt%285%29+%2B+sqrt%282%2A2%2A5%29
we can remove perfect squares from inside the radical:
sqrt%285%29+%2B+sqrt%282%5E2%2A5%29
sqrt%285%29+%2B+2sqrt%285%29
3sqrt%285%29
