You can put this solution on YOUR website! Lauren can fly her plane 180 miles against the wind in the same time it takes him to fly 540 mileswith the wind. The wind blows at 30mph. Find the speed of his plane in still air.
---------------
You have "her plane" and then "his plane" ??
If it's the same plane:
r = the plane's airspeed
t = d/r
180/(r-30) = 540/(r+30)
180*(r+30) = 540*(r-30)
r+30 = 3(r-30) = 3r-90
2r = 120
r = 60 mi/hr, the plane's airspeed.
Some airplane. Maybe it's an ultralight, they're slow.
