Question 591463: I am in dire need of help with this extreme elimination problem.
I have tried multiplying top and bottom by 2 as well as 2 and 3 but have not been able to find a way to equal out the x or y to cancel either out and continue with the equation. Answer by derangoj(14) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! y = 5
x = 0
x - 3y = 15 add 3 y to each side
x = 3y + 15
sub x so (3y + 15) - 3y = 15
so x = 0
Sub x into y
y = 5 + 4x so 5 + 0 = 5
